1. Permanent magnets are made by mixing iron oxide with strontium and then grinding compounds into very fine powders. The powder is mixed with a ceramic adhesive and sealed in a metal mold. The mold is then placed in the furnace and sintered to bond the mixture together.

2. The frame is made of aluminum or steel plate. The plates arrive at the scheduled plant. It is then placed on a conveyor belt and conveyed to a cutter, which uses a hydraulic press to cut holes in the plate to allow free movement of air in the cone.
